I had my first visit to Turtle Dove yesterday with my little nieces as this is their favourite place to go with their mum. I loved it! The food was so nice (best beans on toast I have had), kids food was spot on for them. It’s just the right size and is perfect for the little ones. No big kids running around. Lots of different spaces for kids with different needs. Will definitely visit again. Staff know the kids who visit regularly which is a nice touch.

I recently visited this soft play café with my 4-year-old daughter, who is autistic and non-verbal. Typical soft play areas can be overwhelming for her, and as a neurodivergent parent, I can also find new places challenging. However, this visit was an incredible experience for both of us! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. Signing in was simple, and I loved that there was no set time limit—allowing us to go at our own pace. The café is open seven days a week 9am - 3pm, which is fantastic for flexibility. It cost £7 for my daughters entry fee. The seating area near the café had a dollhouse and a small playhouse, which was perfect for my daughter. She loves mini dolls, so she was immediately drawn to it. We took our time adjusting to the new environment with plenty of cuddles, and she used her tablet as a helpful distraction when things got busier. There are signs requesting that only food from the café is eaten unless there are dietary needs or weaning, which is understandable, however you can let staff know and if these are relevant then you can bring your own food. My daughter is a very selective eater so we brought oranges and juice, but I was happy that she tried some rocky road from the café, which she loved! I also enjoyed a caramel latte at a very reasonable price. They offer different milk options, including soy and oat, which is great. The overall food and drink selection was excellent for both kids and adults, and the prices were very fair. With some encouragement, my daughter felt confident enough to explore the soft play area, and I was able to go in with her. We avoided the sensory area since it was busy with younger babies and toddlers, but she had a blast once we found the slide! There was additional seating inside the soft play area, making it comfortable for parents too. Overall, this experience was amazing. My daughter usually finds new places overwhelming, but she managed so well despite the noise and activity. The atmosphere was welcoming, the space was clean, and I truly appreciated that we didn’t feel any judgment for using her tablet or needing extra cuddles to manage overstimulation. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a great experience!

We hired out Turtledove Play Cafe for my daughter’s fifth birthday party and it was absolutely superb. The party was completely stress free - we just provided birthday cake and party bags and Turtledove did the rest. The kids had a great hour of play in the soft play and all the other play areas, then enjoyed lovely party food on beautifully decorated tables. The children really enjoyed themselves and the adults were able to enjoy a nice coffee -and relax. The whole team were super helpful and friendly. Thanks again for a great party!

My son loves turtledove cafe, Lorraine and Karen are great! Super friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend it enough for anyone in the area with small kids. Loads to do and climb on and jump off. It keeps my son occupied for hours. It continues to give both me and my wife hours of playtime and a chance to relax with a cup of coffee and a bite. Always clean and lots of good quality toys, different areas crammed full of things to do. Rain or shine it’s always guaranteed to entertain. It’s one of our go to activities.

Nice to visit the Turtledove Play Cafe and my little one just loved it. The staff were just lovely and very friendly. Parking can be difficult outside but somehow you will get some place in the residential area. The soft play is small but keeps the kids entertained well.
